They burgundy ones went to Deann and the red ones went to Jake.
I didn't really get great pictures of these two whips because they are just quick shots from my cell phone instead of my real camera. They are still great whips.

This was a fun set to build. I make a lot of Matched pairs for two handed work but this set was a one of each in the same colors. I think they turned out sweet.
Hey, did you know that Anthony and Mary DeLongis made a new DVD set? Mastering the Bullwhip 3 and 4 takes off where their other videos left off. It is really good, I have watched it a few times now. One of the cool things about it is that you can see my handwork on the cover.
You can purchase the set here from me for $60 and for more information on Anthony and how you can hire him to train you go to Delongis.com This is Rachel. I met her at combatcon. What a beautiful woman she is, inside and out. Here she is, being a kickass Gladiator making this whip look good.
The Valkyrie is super hard to make look good because of how it is dropped and how it ends. Till now, It has only come in 3 patterns, solid, Betty and Valkyrie. The Betty pattern isn't very popular and because of that I have decided to discontinue it. Don't be sad, I have added 3 new patterns to choose from. Solid Chimera Valkyrie Victory 1 Victory 2 The Victory patterns only come in 3 colors. and here they are! SOLID Black Valkyrie Chimera Victory 1 Victory 2 I'm super excited to have fun patterns to play with on the Valkyries! It's such a special whip that it should be pretty to look at as well.
* Note, all Valkyries come with a ferrule, unless you ask for it to be left off. Did you fall off the planet or what??? I know it does seem like I have been absent for a long time. The truth is that I have been without a computer of over a month and I am helping to care for my mother in law who has cancer as well as home schooling my daughter who has autism. It has been a busy busy summer! Rest assured that I have not stopped making whips and your whip will be made in the order it was received. So.... Here is what you really want to see, the whips! Valkyrie in burgundy, chocolate and sable. This is one of the new patterns that I am offering for the Valkyrie It is called the Victory 1 pattern. Another Victory 1 Valkyrie. This is actually the best Valkyrie I have ever built. It is perfect in every way. This Valkyrie belongs to Mary De Longis. It is the Chimera pattern which is also a new pattern for the Valkyrie, Blue Bird Valkyrie This is the Victory 2 pattern. Classic black Valkyrie Blue Flame Regular Valkyrie pattern Tibetan waves! Stay tuned for upcoming changes to the set! You're going to love the new one. 8 foot 16 plait imperial red and black 8 foot 16 plait Chimera 2 pattern 7 foot 16 plait. These are my new DeLongis Alignments. Lighter than the Valkyrie. 7 foot 16 plait sonic alignment. I LOVE these colors. 7 foot 14 plait Sonic Alignment. 6 foot 12 plait 6 foot 12 plait 6 foot 12 plait 5 foot 12 plait. I love love love this yellow whip! 6 foot 12 plait Bodlak Combat whip combat bull The DeLongis Alignment Matched set of 6 footers This shows how little the handle is on a Whipper snapper. Somewhere over the rainbow, where unicorns fly through cotton candy clouds.... there is a little girl cracking this whips and laughing. ((I think I put these colors together quit nicely considering what I was asked to use)) 6 foot 12 plait.
There are more pictures on my phone but they will have to wait till I up load them. I decided to go to CombatCon again this year even though last year was really intense. I'm so glad I did because it was awesome! I had forgotten how many friends that I made last year. They made it fun and easier on all accounts. This year I took my friend Nicole to help me guard the whips and she was the perfect person to take. Not only did she do her job really well, she is super fun to be around. GM Ron Lew was there teaching classes, so I go to spend a lot of time playing and talking with him. Here are a few Highlight pictures. Thank goodness for Ron taking pictures because I was so in the moment that I forgot to take pictures of the good stuff. The whips Minus a dozen or so. I just went down to hang my banner and ended up selling a bunch before I even opened for business. I regret not having a picture of them all together but Not bad enough to tell people to wait till the next day. The room at the West Gate was nice but the bathroom wasn't as good as last year. I missed that jetted tub! The view of my table before I decided to move it around. I'm using zip ties to secure the whips to the table. It worked great! I brought 12 whips for Anthony De Longis to test out. Funny, that I didn't get a picture of him with the two he took home. He can really draw a crowd no matter what he is doing, even if it is just goofing off before opening ceremonies. (check his website out here) He decided to go in a more private room to play with the whips. However, even if you have a bag full of new toys, you have to work it if you want to keep his attention. LOL! I didn't mind, I was loving every minute of being a target. Opening Ceremonies. They taught us how to use swords! and axes! And Knives!!! And Whips! This is my friend Tom, who I met last year. He purchased a whip last year but this is him testing out his new Tibetan Wave whip. Looking good! Anthony and Mary getting ready for their demonstration. I love that top picture where they are perfectly together. They are such a great team. Somehow, Ron's demonstration and Anthony's morphed together and turned into this beautiful explosion of information. Ron guarding my table so I could take a quick class. This yellow whip was so perfect. It had four different colors and was strait as an arrow. Sadly, Yellow whips don't sell really well... but they photograph beautifully! (It did sell right after Ron put his mojo in it) Ron's class was awesome! We learned so many new cracks ans catches and wraps. I love how fun and high energy Ron is. Every single person was a success before they left. We let our hair down and had some fun when all the work was over. I got to see and do some things that were really exciting. See you next year! xox Looking back at this blog... It totally looks like I have a crush on Ron and Anthony. LOL! Who am I kidding, I absolutely do! I love when I get to make new friends through old friends who I have made whips for. Amy is friends with a few of my combatcon crew... now I get to meet her this year too! I just love the stone in this one! Amazing! My friend Alicia is the coolest mom ever! This is what she got for her son for graduation. He picked the colors and I really love them when I got them together. The neon green looks amazing when this whip is in motion and the acid purple makes it pop when you get up close.
Here we have a 5 footer in navy and colonial blue, a 5 footer in turquoise and black and another 6 footer in turquoise and gun metal. I love how these whips look together. They almost glow. I'm including this last picture because it is a great shot and because it shows how perfectly the cabochon matches the whip with that little grey line running through.
I've made so many all black show whips that I have lost count. I never get sick of them though. They always look amazing.
This whip is going to Germany to be hand delivered by Ron Lew to his student Stefanie. I love the navy and colonial blue combination. The pictures don't do it justice, it's just so beautiful.
These whips were really fun to build I love the ember to fire theme. Dean had a very specific vision and I think it turned out nice.
These whips are really special to me because one of them has my favorite handle for show whips the Brigid's cross. The other one is a new pattern that I just came up with that I am calling the Helix because it reminds me of DNA.
