Here we have a fun little 5 foot show whip. Its so fun to think about all of the places in the world that my whips are residing.
This is a Combat Bull that is really special. The pattern has 2 colors on one side and 4 colors on the other side. The one white strand is a single diamond down the full length of the whip. That won't mean a lot to most of you... but trust me, this was the most involved pattern I have ever done. I learned a lot building this whip and have some new ideas that I want to try because of it.
John's idea was to use the desert rattle snake for inspiration but other than that let me have creative freedom. It was really fun and really challenging at the same time. Here we have a 7 foot 14 plait bullwhip in Tan and dark brown.
14 plait birds eyes are kind of stressful for me but this one turned out beautifully. The Bodlak Combat whip is kind of a crazy animal with its curved handle. It does things that a normal whip won't and refuses to play by the old rules. Mike had a dream of building a Spiky Bodlak and after some thought and a couple of different handles... here it is! I think it turned out great.
Here we have a beautiful black combat bull. It's new home will be in Canada. One special thing about this whip is the stone on the end is a Picasso jasper that is native to Utah. It looks like a natural yin/yang symbol. I thought it was so cool and had to go on a whip the second I saw it.
I love love love doing girly whips! This pink and burgundy 8 footer is so beautiful and bad a$$! I test cracked it way longer than I had to. These represent the opposite ends of the scale of my whips. One is the lightest and quickest that I make and the other is one of the heavier whips that I make. Both beautiful. I hope Rose Anne has so much fun with them.
I consider Cathy one of my best friends even though I have never met her in person. She and I bonded over having children with autism. She has always been such a great support to me. It was a joy to get to build her some whips!
This whip is really special. It is for my niece Adia. She is such a special little gal. She is happy and helpful and so talented in everything she tries... including whip cracking. It was so fun to make this for her.
If these all look quite familiar to you, its because they are all copies of whips I have previously made for someone else. One Sonic Alignment, One Tibetan Wave and Two Show whips.
This whip went to a very special friend of mine. I love Nicole like a sister and I am so happy that she is into the same crazy things as I am. I tricked her into agreeing to go with me to CombatCon this year and I am so happy to have a friend to go with. If you go to Vegas this year, you can see this dark rainbow whip up close.
This whip was a gift from Laura to Susette for her 50th birthday and I am so happy that I got to be included in the surprise. I can't wait to have these girls over to my house for a play date.
I Love Laura so much. She is smart and funny and always lets me do fun an funky things to her hair. I'm so happy to be able to share this whipy part of my life with her.
