The brown and black one is quite possibly one of the most exquisite whips I have ever cracked. That includes 50+ year old samples from the legendary Cecil Henderson!
The connection to the handler is just sublime. I've handled so many whips, (especially "trainer" whips,) that just feel dead. They might roll out cleanly and accurately, they might crack readily and well, but the response is "mechanical." Not only is this one is straight as a pin, and cracks effortlessly, but the handler feels every subtle movement the whip makes.
The green and black with the brass ferrule? Words escape me, (and I'm a long-winded novelist!) The best way that I can describe it...
You know that bit in the Princess Bride when Inigo Montoya is describing the sword that his father Domingo Montoya made to Westley, (it's describe more in depth in the novel by William Goldman how Domingo had to adjust the balance and length of the grip to precisely fit the hand of the Six-Fingered Man,) and Westley's response "I've never seen it's equal."
This whip is my Domingo Montoya sword.
Bobbi and I have gone back and forth about whips and how they handle and how the energy passes through them for well over three years now...Just wonderful conversations between two good friends.
We've also had long, detailed conversations about what my "next whip" from her would be, and we went back and forth with all sorts of different ideas.
Somehow, Bobbi managed to take all that disparate, convoluted, often esoteric and obscure conversation and alchemically distill it into this beautiful green and black Philosophers Stone of supersonic perfection.
Whips make noise. That's what they were designed to do..They speak...They shout...They bark.
This one sings...
I can not thank you enough, dear lady....
Bobbi, I got my whip last week. Thank you so much. It looks and performs well above my expectations. I've been using it for the past week, and everything about the whip is just amazing. The craftsmanship is flawless. The responsiveness "out of the box" is like a leather whip that's been broken in for years. I just cannot praise it enough. The universal response to my students who have picked it up and used it has been eyes like saucers and mouths that drop. Most of them have said, "Holy Shit!".
Thank you again for such a wonderful whip.
Kindest regards, James
I received the whip on Saturday, ran outside and started cracking. Its so smooth with its roll and so easy to crack. The spike is great and doesn't get in the way. The fall is really neat. I've tried adding weight to the fall, but it always felt odd and it didn't feel right. I feel that the fall could really stand up for self defense. Overall it's a great whip and I will be showing it to other martial arts people I know. Great great whip. Couldn't ask for a better one.
Thanks a lot I'm speechless. Its totally Worth the long period of wait is AMAZING. Is like alive in my hands with her own spirit inside, spirit you infused in it making it and the one of the whip itself. Is a beautiful piece both artistic and lethal at the Same time. I just started but it already feel like a part of me and i never expected nylon were so reactive. It feels just fine and amazing and i love that i can use it everywhere i want cause is not leather. JUST AMAZING!!!!
The whip made it here already!! Hayley loves it, I wish you could have seen her face! I feel as if this whip has its own soul, and the flags are totally awesome. Thank you again Bobbi!
Bobbi [built this whip] for me before combat con. A five footer in Burgundy and Forest green. I absolutely love it! It is extremely responsive and its a pleasure to crack. I am very proud to have it in my collection! Ben
Now to the whip: There isn't the slightest wobble in the plaiting. It is a 14 plait black with 2 strands of blue accent both on the same side. The blue gem in the heel knot goes quite nicely with the blue accent in the whip of course! I got the pick up notice from the post office on Friday (package won't fit mail box) and almost got to the post office before the delivery person returned! So I have cracked it a bunch over the last 48 hours or less. I like it a lot. Cracks with little effort. Travels straight. Janet likes it a lot as well. Jan hasn't cracked anything other than her hunt whip and had no problem getting a good clean crack both cattlemens crack and overhead crack both left hand and right hand. Way easier than with the hunt whip. The heel knot is more in the size range of a stock whip. So fits her hand very well. Bobbi: Janet has claimed your sexy logo sticker and I think at a minimum I will have to share this beautiful whip, if I don't loose it all together! I know Jan will want it for any whip cracking contests that come up at Hunt functions. Carl
I received my show whip made by Bobbi of Holyoak Whips the other day and am happy to say that it lives up to all expectations. It is well-made and well balanced, having an easy self-flowing "crack" to it. For anyone considering a whip purchase, I would encourage serious consideration about this source! Jos
Hello Bobbi, I want to thank you very much for sending the whip. It's 10 times better than I thought it would be! Great job! thank you - Scott D
Bobbi, received my whip on Saturday was out of town until today. What a beautiful whip the craftsmanship is unbelievable and I should say it cracks like thunder. Great Job thank you very much. Noah
[The Whip] has a glorious roll out and lovely light weight , you could crack it all day, the braid is immaculate and matches the fantastic presentation. Pete G.
During the BJC/Whipcon 2014 I won the beautiful red, orange and yellow whip that you put up for a prize. I managed to have a good play with it last night and it's a fantastic whip to Crack!
Thank you very much for making such a lovely whip and for being so generous.
Love and Cracks
The whip arrived today, and WOW! I've only flicked it around in my living room for a few minutes, and haven't even stepped outside with it, but already I see exactly what Guro Meadows and Professor Lew were talking about.
It is absolutely beautiful in every way. It handles amazingly, (though after working exclusively with 6 foot + whips for the last 10 years, I have to REALLY get use to the faster action. I throw the whip, and the bang happens much sooner than my brain is expecting, I also haven't gotten a chance to actually take it outside and "Open it up to see what she can do,") It looks gorgeous...detail is amazing. Plaiting is beautiful, weight is perfect, and the selenite crystal under the heel knot is just beautiful, and the way it feels just in the hand, (without even cracking it,) I THOUGHT that I "Got It" in terms of Bobbi's approach to whips and whip making. I did. That philosophy, love, and spirit shine through just holding it.
This will not be my last HolyOak whip by a long shot, and I'll certainly be sending more people to her.
This weekend and next week are gonna be a little insane, but I'm hoping to shoot video of a full review for folks perusal. I promise I'll try to be objective and professional and not gush ;)
Thank you again, dear lady!
Wha hooo.... they arrived, I noticed the two key chains you included 1.) Looks like a tree, very nice but 2.) The 2nd One of the 101st Airborne wow that is really over the top in a most excellent way. When I saw that it really touched my heart snd I thank you so very much for that. The whips look great, better than I thought, I love the plaiting you did outstanding, they are absolutely gorgeous, and they handle great. I wished I knew about you sooner I would have bought more from you. To make it clearer in case I failed to communicate... I love these whip Bobbi, thank you so very much. My friend Pete Gamble you've donated a whip in the UK for their whip convention and they are getting a real treat with a whip made by you, and I am going to tell him later tonight he is in for a treat. Ric- from TX
Hi Bobbi, Just wanted to let you know my new whip arrived! I gave it a few test throws after work; the balance feels good, it has a nice weight and action to it and cracks readily. The heavier fall was a good call too IMO. I’ll have fun with it and look forward giving it a more rigorous work out soon.
BTW the Holyoak popper clip was a nice touch too :)
Thanks again! Daniel
So, there was a mix-up with the delivery, but I did finally get my whips this morning! I've been trying to email you since I got them, but I can't put them down! They're wonderful. Better than wonderful. Not at all lacking in either performance or style. Seriously, these are some sexy whips. Thank you very much. I can't wait to bring them in to Kali!
Most Respectfully, -Michael P. from CO.
I am writing this email, Bobbi, to thank you for the fantastic experience I had during your recent Sonic Alignment Spiritual Seminar. It was fun, invigorating, and divinely inspiring all at the same time. I felt it was ingenious how you combined your amazing talent in creating such gorgeous, professional, and personalized "whips of inspiration" together with original Open Heart Meditations. I felt as though the ingredients blended in precisely the perfect manner to reach within us so as to "Crack the Cosmic Egg" for manifesting our most cherished dreams.
Your teaching strategies are superb, gentle, and safe in guiding us to maneuver the use of the magnificent power that these divine whips can unleash within both the physical and spiritual planes within.
Our time together left me feeling that at last I may have been able to master much greater control over my capacity to manifest the reality I truly desire.
You are such a beautiful, loving teacher and Master Craftswoman, Bobbi! I can hardly wait to receive the customized personal Sonic Whip Alignment Tool you are creating for me to continue this practice on my own.
Thank you from the core of my soul!

Got this [Dragon's Tail] in the mail this weekend, its liquid and solid at the same time. Very nicely made and an action that is very wave-like. It seems that many nylon whips are based on their leather forefathers but this one utilizes the material to create something new and unique. Nicely done, glad to have one. Thanks Bobbi HolyOak

It is with great pleasure that I introduce a new whip custom designed by myself and Maestro Ron Lew for use in both Latigo y daga and Ron's Tibetan wave whip system.
We have been searching for quite a while for a nylon whip that meets our series of stringent requirements. None of the whip makers we tried offered paracord whips that could meet the specifications until we had Bobbi Holyoak make five different designs for us to test this month.
The winner is the new Tibetan Wave whip, The whip is bellyless and will form a loop from any position, and to say it flows like water doesn't do it justice.
Bobbi, thank you so much, the [Dragons' Tail] whip is beautiful and alive. The quality and speed that it was completed: amazing. I'm going to spend some time learning from this whip and hope to get a chance to use your sonic alignment design.
Thanks again R from CA.
I just received a whip from Holyoak Whips. It's an awesome piece to add to my collection. Bobbi definitely knows what she is doing, all transitions are smooth and clean. Excellent workmanship!

"A Belated birthday gift of a whip to my son from great weapons master Bobbi HolyOak. The whip is almost as magical as the dance of the one who wove it together, made it. Bobbi demonstrates proper whip safety and guidelines to the 8 year old. She wields the whip, cracks it, spins, dances. Divine Feminine reawakened within, empowered. Mystique of body movement. Tool for healing. I'm humbled."
Chessie W. from UT
"Just got my Dragon Tail Whip today and I love it! Played with it for an hour and had a hard time stopping! Super responsive too. Thanks Bobbi."
Drew from UT.

Whips are a lot of fun but they are not toys. Make sure to always wear safety gear and practice well away from other people and animals. Never hit anyone with your whip. Bobbi HolyOak and HolyOak whips are not responsible for any injury to person or property incurred by the use/miss use of our whips. Have fun, be smart, be safe and keep on cracking!
