New target stand

9/28/2014

I haven't had a proper target stand for all of these years.  I have just had to make due using the dandelions in the lawn and sticking twigs in the fence for targets.

One day I walked outside and found this beautiful gift from my husband.  It wasn't my birthday and it isn't Christmas.  This was just the best gift ever, given to me on a random Wednesday.  Its things like this that make me fall in love again with my husband all the time.

It was getting pretty old using sticks in my new target stand.  Two satisfying whacks and then reset the whole set up.  So, I took the suggestion from my friend Roy to use string trimmer line instead.  It works SO well!  You can see if you hit or not but you never have to reset that target.  Yay!!

Celeste's Sonic Alignment

A few months ago I was contacted by Celeste.  I liked her right away because we have a few shared interests.  Black and pink happen to be her signature so it made perfect sense that the whip had to be black and pink.

This whip was really fun to make.  It almost glows in the dark.  Neon pink seems to get brighter after the wax!   And even though I LOVE all the whip men I have gotten to know, it is always super fun when I get to work on a whip for a Wild Whip Woman.

Stainless Steel Show Whip Handles

9/9/2014

My friend Enoch had a really good idea to have stainless steel handles on his show whips instead of copper.  I loved the idea.

It took me months to find stainless that was light enough as well as shiny enough.  I tested out pipe from 6 different suppliers before I found the right one.  In the end, the ended up being the exact same weight as the copper.

The stainless costs more that the copper.  That means that the price if $20 more than the copper handles.

I'm happy with the way they turned out.  Take a look!

Kerry's Valkyrie

9/3/2014

When I made the very first Valkyrie for Anthony DoLongis, I invited my friend Kerry over to the house to test out all the whips I was going to send him.  (as well as the ones he sent me)  We had a fun afternoon playing with whips that didn't belong to us.  She fell in love with the Valkyrie right away.  So, I wasn't surprised when she needed on of her very own.

I love how this whip turned out!  I got a little creative with it and decided that this is the official pattern for the Valkyrie.

My friend Randal made a great video that shows just how cool his whip system is.  I have it on the Bodlak page but I love it so much I'm putting it here too.

Thanks for doing this for me, Randal!
